nana-nana (Hisato Takenouchi)
nana-nana is based in Tokyo (MID TOWN PROJECT) and LA (Rike International) and conducts events and production in various countries around the world. We value working with people who appeal to us, regardless of race or gender, which I think
is a normal thing. Now that the movement of BLACK LIVES MATTER is growing, I wanted to create an environment where we can raise voices against discriminations even in Japan, and an opportunity to think continuously about it rather than just for once.
I immediately thought of Yukimasa Ida, an artist who works globally, and paints wonderful art so powerfully, with a strong individual mind. He was the only person who we could deliver this idea to the world with, and I proposed a collaboration.

As a contemporary artist, I have worked in various places around the world.
I think artists are like mirrors of the world, and I believe that how to ask questions is art and expression whilst understanding what is happening in the present world and society. But I also believe that there must be hope at the root of everything.
As a result of trying to think of a way I could contribute to the society today, I decided to participate in this project thinking how it would be an honor if my work could help the world change, and become part of a support for the black community.
Towards a world where people can live comfortably, regardless of their position, nationality, skin color or eye color, I sincerely pray as an artist, a parent, a human being, and a friend of all of you, that the prejudice that exists today in the world
will disappear one day.

nana-nanaはTOKYO(MID TOWN PROJECT)とLA(Rike international)を拠点にし世界各国でイベントや生産を行っております。 私たちは、「人種や性別を問うことなく、自分達が魅力を感じる方々と共に活動すること」を大切にしており それが当たり前だとも思っております。BLACK LIVES MATTERの反差別運動が大きくなっている今、「日本国内でも差別に対して 声を上げれる環境をもっと作りたい。そして一過性ではなく継続性をもって考えられるきっかけにしたい」 と考えた時に、井田幸昌氏が真っ先に頭に浮かびました。 この考えを私たちと共に世界に届けられるのは、「グローバルに活躍し、媚びずに力強く素晴らしいアートを描く彼しかいない」 と思い、コラボレーションを提案させていただきました。

現代美術家として、世界の様々な場所を舞台に活動をしてまいりました。 私はアーティストは世界の写鏡のような存在であると思っていますし、今の世界や社会の変遷を理解した上で 如何に問いを投げかけていくのかが、芸術であり表現であると信じています。しかし、全ての根底には希望がなくてはなりません。 こんな時代だからこそ私ができる社会貢献とは、、と考え続けた結果、今回のドネーション企画に微力ながら 尽力させていただくことといたしました。 私の作品が世界に変化を、さらに言えばたった今、人種差別にさらされている 黒人コミュニティへの一助になるのであればと。 人々が置かれた様々な立場、国籍、肌の色や目の色など全く関係なく、気持ちよく生きていける世界へ向けて 私は、1人のアーティスト、1人の親、1人の人間、そして皆様の友として、世界に蔓延る理不尽が少しでもなくなることを 切に願っています。
